Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) or an equivalent professional body.
- Specialized training and experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of the Singaporean education system and cultural context to provide culturally sensitive care.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin) are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents to identify mental health needs and diagnoses.
Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy tailored to the unique needs of young clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and more.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
Liaise with schools, social services, and other agencies to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
Maintain accurate, confidential client records and write professional reports for internal and external use.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to ensure the highest standard of care.
