TherapistSG requires all therapists to hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution. Licensed professionals must maintain active registration with relevant Singapore authorities such as Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) or be a Registered Counsellor (RC). International practitioners must have equivalent credentials recognized in Singapore. All therapists undergo a thorough credential verification and background check during our hiring process.

TherapistSG operates primarily as a remote-first workplace, allowing therapists to conduct sessions from anywhere with a secure, private space and reliable internet connection. 

TherapistSG uses a sophisticated matching algorithm that pairs clients with therapists based on several factors: the therapist’s specialization areas, client’s presenting concerns, demographic preferences (when requested), language requirements, and scheduling compatibility. New therapists typically start with a gradually increasing caseload while receiving additional supervision. You’ll have input into your ideal client profile and caseload size, though flexibility is appreciated during high-demand periods.

All TherapistSG therapists receive regular supervision regardless of experience level. New therapists participate in weekly individual supervision for the first three months, transitioning to biweekly afterwards. All team members participate in monthly group supervision and case consultation meetings. Additional supervision is available for complex cases. Our Clinical Supervisors all have 7+ years of experience and specialized supervisor training. Professional development opportunities, peer consultation groups, and mentorship programs provide additional support.
